I worked on this painting for a while before it came together, but when it did, it was like a torrent. I was inspired by David Biedenbender's new composition "Something Deeply Hidden "(hence, the title of this painting). I was able to meet David and perform his piece with the San Juan Symphony in February before we had to shut down. David gives tribute to Beethoven (which we also performed in that concert) in his piece while also creating something completely new. This painting has classic roses symbolizing the past beauty of composers such as Beethoven. Mixed with this foundation you can see abstract lines and splashes of color and a piano keyboard for a vase, symbolizing newness for the future.
